The brand-new Coach Youth Tennis program helps coaches and organizers who work with young players and those with intellectual and physical disabilities, ensure a fun experience and want to keep playing.

Instructing tennis for individuals with disabilities and understanding how to coach players is a science. Our Manual for Teaching Adaptive Tennis provides great reference material for anyone who wants to get into the  game.
 
Within the PDF guide you will find sample lesson plans, fun games, techniques for stretching and fitness and where to find equipment. We also provide a Spanish language version that can be accessed by clicking here.

The USTA Foundation provides grants and awards scholarships to programs each year. The grants provide necessary funds for blossoming tennis programs to grow bigger and provide better service to their communities, while scholarships aid deserving players who have dedicated themselves to tennis the opportunity to attend college.

Recognizing the program or program leader that has demonstrated continued excellence, dedication and service in tennis for individuals with disabilities.
 
Criteria for eligibility for a program or an individual conducting a program is a minimum of three years of active involvement with individuals with disabilities.
 
Nominations for the 2016 Adaptive Tennis Award Supported by the USTA Foundation are due on April 20.
