USTAF Thanks You For 'FUN'raising!
A live performance by the Bryan Brothers Band brought the crowd of more than 300 supporters to their feet at the USTA Foundation's inaugural "Raise a Racquet" fundraiser kicking off the "US Open Experience" in downtown Manhattan on the rooftop terrace at Brookfield Place.   unnamed_(6)
Before Bob hit the keyboard and Mike picked up his guitar, the winningest doubles tandem in tennis presented a generous $15,000 donation from the Bryan Brothers Foundation to the USTA Foundation (USTAF) to support the organization's mission to bring tennis and education together to change the lives of youth nationwide.

The atmosphere was energized with activities for everyone including a "Meet Your Match" tennis tournament video game, Wilson Tennis Ball photo wall, an "edible selfie" station, plus US Open-inspired food and signature drinks.

As part of the "US Open Experience", USTAF Chairperson James Blake and the Bryan Brothers held a Q&A and addressed National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) participants on the exhibition tennis court set up on the plaza. Partner SPEAR Physical Therapy demonstrated and engaged the children in proper functional movement.

A live and silent auction of exclusive US Open packages, Yankees tickets, and sports memorabilia provided opportunities for everyone to participate in supporting USTAF's commitment to ensuring a better future for under-resourced youth.

Thank you to USTAF sponsors and supporters who made the evening possible: Presenting Sponsor ESPN and supporters Grey Goose Vodka, Heineken, Meredith Corporation, Wilson, SPEAR Physical Therapy and Ollie.

"The USTA Foundation sends a special thank you to everyone who attended to make the first "Raise a Racquet" a resounding success," said event chair and USTAF Advisory Board Member Marty Mann. "We are already looking forward to making next year another win-win for everyone."
