The USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA), today announced that for the 12th consecutive year, it has partnered with longtime US Open sponsor Chase to award 13 National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) chapters with $350,000 in total grants to support year-round tennis, education, and life skills programming.
This year, more than 21,000 young people from under-resourced communities will be impacted by these grants, providing them with the opportunity to access programs and services that can help prepare them for life both on and off the tennis court. To date, Chase has awarded more than $2 million to select NJTL chapters in its collaboration with the USTA Foundation.
Additionally, “Return the Serve Fun Day” events will take place from July 11 to 18 at NJTL chapters in 12 select markets, including Atlanta, Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Dallas, Harlem, Jacksonville, Fla., Los Angeles, Memphis, Minneapolis, Phoenix, and San Francisco. These fun-filled events will feature high-energy tennis activities, financial literacy education, and a healthy lunch for NJTL participants and their families.

Co-founded in 1969 by cultural icon Arthur Ashe, along with Charlie Pasarell and Sheridan Snyder, today the USTA Foundation’s NJTL network is made up of 250 community organizations that use tennis as a tool to provide over 170,000 young people access to opportunities that can prepare them for whatever life serves them, including social and emotional learning programs, academic support, scholarships, and career and college readiness services.
“Thanks to Chase’s continued partnership, we’re able to reach even more young people with programs that go beyond the court,” said the USTA Foundation CEO Ginny Ehrlich. “This generous support strengthens our ability to help the next generation live their best life stories—equipping them with the skills, confidence, and academic tools they need to build bright futures. We’re proud to work alongside Chase to create meaningful change in the communities we serve.”

"We’re excited to partner with the USTA Foundation for the 12th year to continue the Return the Serve program, bringing tennis and education together to instill financial literacy skills across communities and build valuable life skills for youth,” said Kate Schoff, Managing Director, Chase.
