Students raise a racquet for disabilities
A ball and a racquet are the tools that Ohio University students are using to better the lives of kids with developmental disabilities. Rachel Berens founded the No Limits Adaptive Tennis program in Lancaster, Ohio, and later brought it along with her to Athens, Ohio. Tennis skills are not the only thing these kids learn.

Buddy Up Tennis is a weekly, high-energy adaptive tennis and fitness program for children and adults with Down Syndrome based in Columbus, Ohio. More than 500 athletes and buddies take to the courts each year with programs in seven cities. The Buddy Up Tennis mantra is, "Where there's a Will, there's a way!"

Wounded Warrior Tennis Camp hits new highs
Over 50 wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans from 20 states participated in the 3rd Annual National Wounded Warrior Tennis Camp at the Balboa Tennis Club in San Diego. One of the larger benefits of the camp is giving the participants the opportunity to meet and become friends with those who have had similar battlefield experiences and other physical and emotional challenges.
