Read the recap of last year's fantastic event below.
The USTA Foundation (USTAF) raised more than $1.6 million from its 18th annual Opening Night Gala presented by ESPN at the US Open on August 27, 2018.  Hosted by Billie Jean King and Mike Greenberg, the event highlighted USTAF's mission to fund tennis and education programming for more than 350 National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) community programs across the country.
More than 200 guests and celebrities, including Katie Couric, Mayor David Dinkins, Gayle King, Hugh Jackman, Daymond John, Mike Tyson, Vera Wang, and Anna Wintour, among others, gathered in the Arthur Ashe Stadium President's Suite to honor longtime USTAF Board member Richard Ader, for his demonstrated personal commitment to USTAF's mission.
Among the items auctioned to raise over $100,000 were Billie Jean King's personal seats at Wimbledon, a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet country music star Luke Bryan with VIP concert seats, a Disney dream package and Finals weekend at the US Open in the President's Suite.  After dinner, guests enjoyed the Opening Night Ceremony and world-class tennis from the best seats in the house.
