Chicago, Ill.

As the president of Charter One and RBS Citizens, Illinois, I was introduced to the USTA Foundation and have recently become active with the Foundation through various fundraising opportunities. I am extremely impressed with everything the USTA Foundation is doing to change the lives of those who need it most through the integration of tennis and education programs. Running the marathon for the Foundation allows me to combine the fun of running a marathon with the important work of fundraising for a great cause. This will be my sixth marathon and my fourth raising money for a charitable organization.

As an active member of my community, I serve on the executive committee of the board of directors of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the executive committee of the board of advisors for LISC Chicago, the board of directors of the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the boards of trustees of the Adler Planetarium and Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago.

I am pleased to be able to continue my growing connection with the USTA Foundation by being a part of their marathon team and I am looking forward to running with my brother, who is also on the team. We have run marathons together previously and enjoy sharing the experience of running for charity.

I greatly appreciate any support you can give me by sponsoring my run on behalf of the work of the USTA Foundation. Your support helps youth succeed in school, on the courts and in life!
