The USTA Foundation and Jersey Mike's teamed up to raise $4 million in support of under-resourced youth during a two-day weekend of giving in conjunction with last month's US Open.

USTA Foundation chairperson Chris Evert and USTA Foundation leadership Dan Faber, Jeff Harrison and Rob Howland (pictured below) celebrated the milestone last week at the inaugural USTA Foundation Impact Conference that was designed to support National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) leaders in their programming and administrative initiatives. The first-of-its-kind event brought together more than 150 leaders from NJTL chapters from across the country to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. for workshops, lectures, consultations and mentorship and networking opportunities.

To achieve the total, Jersey Mike’s donated 20% of all sales at the company’s more than 2,200 locations nationwide during the final weekend of the 2022 US Open—Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11. These funds are designated for the USTA Foundation's “Rally for the Future” campaign, a three-year initiative launched in 2021 which seeks to raise $20 million as the largest fundraising campaign in the nearly three decades of the USTA Foundation.

These funds will fortify future generations of tennis players by supporting those who participate in the flagship after- and in-school tennis and education initiative of the USTA Foundation that serves more than 160,000 under-resourced youth across the country.

Jersey Mike's is connected to many USTA Foundation events and activations throughout the year that support under-resourced youth, and the weekend of giving closed out a full slate of USTA Foundation events that were held in conjunction with America's Grand Slam. On Aug. 29, Jersey Mike's' Tatiana Cancro co-chaired the USTA Foundation's annual Opening Night Gala for the second straight year, which raised more than $3 million. It was a record-setting total for the event's 20th anniversary that bettered the previous best of $2 million set in 2021.

Over the last four years, Jersey Mike’s has raised more than $8 million to help kids through the USTA Foundation.
