USTA Serves is slated to host four regional wheelchair tennis camps through a grant from the United States Olympic Committee as part of the U.S. Paralympic Integrated Adaptive Sports Program. The grants are provided to facilitate the growth of Paralympic sport programming for disabled Veterans and disabled members of the Armed Forces.
Each tennis camp consists of a one-day training for V.A. staff members, followed by a three-day tennis camp for the participants.
Participants will be connected to a local tennis program in their community and the equipment from the camp will be gifted to the V.A. to continue tennis programming at their facility.
The 2014 camp dates are June 19-22 in San Antonio, June 26-29 in Atlanta, Sept. 18-21 in Seattle and Sept. 25-28 in San Diego.
This camp is specifically designed for those with a permanent lower extremity disability. For further information, participation qualifications, and to apply, click the button above. The program provided is at no cost to those applicants accepted into the program.
Space is limited due to grant funding.
