USTA Serves was proud to be an official Community Charity Partner in the 43rd running of the ING New York City Marathon held on November 3, 2013. This year’s marathon was especially meaningful as the runners ran inspired by and in support of Boston and to honor New York City one year after Hurricane Sandy. It was an important day in the history of the race and the sport and we were honored to be able to participate.
All of our runners successfully completed the marathon and were thrilled to be given the chance to run for USTA Serves. Our team was made up of people who are passionate about enriching the lives of underserved youth and individuals with disabilities through the integration of tennis and education. Our runners helped change many lives through their marathon fundraising. We are in awe of their amazing achievement and we sincerely thank them for their training, fundraising, dedication, hard work and commitment to the mission of USTA Serves.
