Rego Park, N.Y.

Running the NYC marathon has been a dream of mine since I was a child growing up in Queens, N.Y. I have loved running my whole life and have used it to help me become a better tennis player. Tennis has been a huge part of my life and I have been playing it ever since my parents took me to the US Open when I was 8 years old.

I played competitive tennis throughout my junior career, competing against some of the best tennis players in the USTA nationwide. The sport allowed me to travel across the country, meet great people, develop incredible friendships and learn about so many things in life.

Along the way, the USTA and the USTA Foundation have been there to support me and help me grow as not only an athlete but also as a person. They helped me reach my dream of playing NCAA Division I tennis, something I will forever be grateful for. The Foundation has personally helped me in more ways than one, including participating in the NYJTL programs as a child and receiving a USTA Foundation college scholarship. I feel the best way to give back to this organization is by fundraising so that it can continue to help young tennis players whose shoes I was once in.

I greatly appreciate any support you can give me by sponsoring my run on behalf of the work of the USTA Foundation. Your support helps youth succeed in school, on the courts and in life!
