We’re guided by the belief that every young person deserves the chance to write their best life story—but the reality is, not everyone gets a chance to do so. We’re on a mission to change that throughout the U.S. through the powerful combination of tennis, education and life-skills development.
We go beyond wins and losses.
Tennis offers young people benefits that are much larger than the game itself. Tennis prepares them for the game of life. Numerous studies have demonstrated that youth sports participation positively affects academic achievement, physical and mental health, and even future career opportunities.
But youth from under-resourced communities are often shut out of these opportunities as they are significantly less likely to participate in sports than their more affluent peers due to barriers to entry, like cost and transportation challenges.
The USTA Foundation is working to eliminate these barriers to entry by investing in local programs that help young people prepare for their futures on and off the court. Our community programs offer a powerful combination of tennis, mentorship, academic support, and scholarships to equip young people with what they need to write their best life stories.
