For the ninth consecutive year, the USTA Foundation has partnered with longtime US Open sponsor Chase to provide financial assistance to National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) chapters across the country.

More than 21,000 youth from 29 NJTL chapters in under-resourced communities will be impacted by this year's round of grants totaling more than $215,000. Chase has awarded more than $1.3 million to selected NJTL chapters in its nine-year collaboration with the USTA Foundation.

“We are honored to once again work with our longtime supporter, Chase, an outstanding mission-driven company that has impacted thousands of kids from under-resourced communities through the Return to Serve program,” said Dan Faber, USTA Foundation Chief Executive. “Now more than ever, we are seeing how tennis and education can uplift and empower our youth. We are incredibly energized to keep on the momentum and growth we’ve been experiencing with our NJTL chapters across the country and are thankful for supporters like Chase who share the passion for our mission.”

After a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the partnership returned with on-site activations with NJTL chapters in five markets called the “Return the Serve Fun Day." More than 1,000 youth in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Houston and Washington,D.C. participated in this nationwide celebration, and each of the local events featured high-energy and fun tennis activities, off-court educational opportunities, and healthy lunch served to the youth participants of the NJTL programs and their families.

“Developing financial wellness, like tennis skills, starts with learning the fundamentals, nurturing a healthy mindset and practicing behaviors. JPMorgan Chase & Co. is committed to helping our next generation of customers, along with their families and communities, develop good money habits," said Peter Bergman, Head of Starter Customer Segment, Chase Consumer Bank. “We are excited to have our Chase Community Managers on-site this year to engage the children in fun activities and to discuss the importance of saving for goals, learning about credit and planning for the future.”
